What are these expeditions all about?
The first British explorer to travel a new route across the Antarctic to the South Pole, since Shackleton 100 years ago.
Firstly during April 2016, Rob Smith, will be undertaking a 220km expedition to the North pole over a period of 23 days.
With hard work, training and dedication, Rob will then be undertaking the second part of the expedition goal, a completely new route through the Antarctic to the South Pole. With Eric Philips, OAM and three other individuals, from November 2016 to January 2017, the group will be venturing across the Antarctic on a new route, which will be announced one week before the voyage commences. This will be the first time since Sir Ernest Shackleton, 100 years ago, that a British explorer has attempted a new route to the South Pole.
